About DataBrighten

DataBrighten is a free library of practice data. It exists because the first hour of learning a tool such as Excel, SQL, Power BI or pandas is often spent hunting for a file with the right shape: a date column, a few categories, some numbers that add up.

Here you get that file in the format you need, at the size you need, with a data dictionary and questions whose answers have been checked twice. The business tables are synthetic, so they contain no one's real details; the five real datasets come from public sources named on every page.

What we will not do

• Publish real personal data.
• Change a file without changing its updated date.
• Ask you to sign up to download anything.
